This rare yet distinctive artwork from Roy LICHTENSTEIN is a product of his fascination with comic art and his interest in representing such as war and its imagery, as well as in popular culture. 

Presented across this triptych is a flat cartoon explosion, illustrated through the layering of Ben-Day dots and primary color hues. Although impactful in its power, the blast neither appears threatening or scary. Instead, it catches the viewer’s eye and sparks active curiosity.
